Quote from RIA Novosti: “The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of China congratulated Putin on his victory in the elections.”

Details: RIA Novosti also adds that the Chinese ministry expresses confidence that “Sino-Russian relations will continue to develop”.

Furthermore, it is reported that the President of Iran has already congratulated Putin.

Additionally, Putin has been congratulated by the leader of North Korea Kim Jong Un, the President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev, and the President of Venezuela Nicolás Maduro.

In particular, Maduro stated that “it was a flawless electoral process” which “demonstrated [the nation’s] democracy in an exemplary manner.”

“We embrace the entire Russian people and the United Russia party,” wrote the President of Venezuela.

It is worth noting that the counting of votes is not yet officially complete.

The Central Election Commission reports that 99.75% of the ballots have been counted. These data indicate that Putin is to win with 87.29% of the votes.

The remaining three candidates received no more than 3-4% of the votes each.

Earlier, RIA Novosti reported that the voter turnout in the presidential elections was supposedly record-breaking. It was also reported that the election commission even decided to count ballots stained with ink.
