Details: A representative of the Coordination Headquarters assured that it makes no sense for Ukraine to keep Russian prisoners. Yatsenko, cited by Suspilne, said Russia suspended the exchanges in an attempt to influence Ukrainian society.

Quote: “[The Russians – ed.] are trying to convince everyone that, as they say, nothing is happening, look. But, we are continuing our work, we are not sitting idly by, we are constantly working to organise the next exchanges.”

More details: A representative of the headquarters stressed that Ukraine is ready for dialogue and is making proposals to the Russians.

Updated: At the same time, Yatsenko stated in an interview to the Nastoyashchee Vremya (Present Time) published on 17 November that “nobody knows an answer to this question” (why Russia stopped PoW swap – ed.).

He stressed that “a possible reason for it may be that Russia is trying to undermine Ukrainian society and convince the families of prisoners of war that the swaps are not being conducted due to obstacles on the part of the Ukrainian side”.

Quote: “It [Russia – ed.] calls for some mass actions. Thus they are using prisoners of war as another leverage of influence over Ukrainians.”
