Couple sentenced to jail for NT$70 million McDonald’s extortion
Taipei, July 25 (CNA) A husband and wife have been sentenced to more than five years behind bars after being found guilty of attempting to extort over NT$70 million (US$2.25 million) from a New Taipei McDonald’s outlet in 2017 while they were employed by the local government, according to the Taiwan High Court.
