Details: Schoof reported that during his visit to Zaporizhzhia he had stressed that Ukraine could count on further support and engagement by the Netherlands. He also expressed his admiration for the residents of the city who keep living just dozens of kilometres away from the combat zone.
“We must do everything possible to help Ukraine keep going. On the front lines, but also in people’s daily lives. That’s why the Netherlands is providing a substantial new support package worth over €200 million,” Schoof announced.
Ukraine can count on the Netherlands’ continuing support and engagement. That was my message to President @ZelenskyyUa today in Zaporizhzhia.

Schoof specified that the package would be focused mainly on protecting and repairing the energy infrastructure and include additional funding for humanitarian assistance.
“My first visit to the country as prime minister of the Netherlands has confirmed my conviction that we must continue to support Ukraine,” Schoof summed up.
New Dutch government chaired by Dick Schoof took the oath at the beginning of July. The new Cabinet continues the policy of his predecessors regarding military and other kinds of support for Kyiv.
