FKJ is to release two new albums – including a live record featuring a track recorded at Hong Kong’s Clockenflap festival last March – the French multi-instrumentalist has exclusively revealed to HKFP in an interview.
The singer and musician – also known as French Kiwi Juice – said that the “conceptual” record will include live versions of old songs, as well as unheard improvisations from his performances around the world over the past two years.

“We recorded hundreds of improvisations and my favourite ones will be in the album, including my Hong Kong performance,” he told HKFP ahead of his show on May 29 at AsiaWorld-Expo.
Known for his unique style blending electronic, jazz, and soul, the 34-year-old musician has been described as a “pioneer” and “one of the flag bearers” of the new New French House genre. Since the launch of his debut album French Kiwi Juice in 2017, FKJ’s music has evolved to incorporate new instruments and sounds.
Another studio album “telling the story of what happened in the past year” is in progress, he said, adding that it will include several collaborations with different artists.
“I’m also working on a third project, one of my most ambitious and most exciting projects,” the artist revealed without disclosing further details.
- FKJ performs at AsiaWorld Expo Hall 7 this May 29 – tickets cost HK$999 via Cityline.
