Fires occur in two Kyiv districts due to falling drone wreckage

Explosions rang out in the city of Kyiv on the night of 1–2 January and crashing drone wreckage caused several fires.

Details: Klitschko said drone wreckage was on fire in an open area in Kyiv’s Desnianskyi District. Emergency services were deployed to the scene.
The Kyiv City Military Administration added that a fire broke out on the grounds of a residential building in Desnianskyi District.
Ukraine’s State Emergency Service units and police officers were deployed to the scene.
Updated at 03:47: Serhii Popko, Head of the Kyiv City Military Administration, said drone wreckage also crashed in Kyiv’s Holosiivskyi District. State Emergency Service units rushed to the site of the crash. There is no information about casualties.
Updated at 04:39: Popko reported that Kyiv infrastructure suffered no critical damage as a result of the Russian drone attack. Several drone fragments crashed in open areas, but there was no information about casualties.
