Terekhov said that the building has been constructed in compliance with all safety requirements.
The school has 20 classrooms and will be able to accommodate 900 children studying in two shifts.
Terekhov said admissions for the next academic year are almost complete. The school is preparing to welcome 600 young Kharkiv residents this year.
“We plan to continue building similar schools in other districts of the city to ensure that all our children have equal access to high-quality and, most importantly, safe education,” Terekhov noted.
Background:
- In October 2023, Terekhov reported that the construction of the school was due to be completed by the New Year and that classes would begin in March 2024.
- There are also plans to open underground schools in Zaporizhzhia. Ivan Fedorov, Head of the Zaporizhzhia Oblast Military Administration, has said that there will be about 50 of them. However, the figure is not final.
