Hong Kong police are investigating a murder-suicide case in Yuen Long after a teenager fell to his death at a housing estate on Tuesday. His father and grandfather were found dead in a nearby village home.

Police received a call at 8.10pm on Tuesday from a man who reported that two people had died in a residential unit in Chun Hing New Village.
Around five minutes later, police got another call that a person had fallen from height at Yuet Ping House in Nong Ping Estate, around 600 m from the village, Yuen Long assistant district commander Johnathan Kwan told reporters on Wednesday.
When police officers arrived at the 450-square-foot apartment in Chung Hing Village, they found two men, aged 93 and 69, lying on the floor near the kitchen.
Both men were covered in blood and had cuts and stab wounds, Kwan said.
The pair – identified as father and son – were certified dead at the scene. Police also discovered a pair of kitchen scissors measuring 22 cm and a fruit knife measuring 21 cm near the victims. Both the scissors and knife were stained with blood.
Meanwhile, a 19-year-old was certified dead after he was suspected to have fallen from the 18th floor of Yuet Ping House.

“Our investigation showed that [he] was the person who called us at around 8.10pm about the incident in Chun Hing New Village,” Kwan said.
Police also said that the teenager was the son of the 69-year-old man and the grandson of the 93-year-old.
Kwan said that all of the three men were unemployed, and that they had not been the subject of any police cases or disputes.
There was no evidence there was another person involved, Kwan added.
Around 20 police officers were deployed to Chun Hing New Village on Wednesday to collect evidence, local media reported.
Kwan said police also found a cutter, but they could not yet determine whether it was related to the case.
Media outlets also reported that the 93-year-old had been involved in a legal dispute relating to a plot of land he owned. When asked by a reporter if the incident had to do with inheritance, Kwan said this was under investigation.
