The five were sent to Pamela Youde Nethersole Eastern Hospital, Ruttonjee Hospital, and Queen Mary Hospital.

The injured man and the 41-year-old woman were sent to the intensive care unit, while the 69-year-old woman was sent to an observation bay. All three remained unconscious.

The three-year-old girl was in stable condition, Lam said, and her hands, feet, and mouth were found to be injured. She regained consciousness after arriving at Queen Mary Hospital.

The police suspected that the taxi did not brake in time and rear-ended the crane vehicle. The front of the cab was lodged underneath the truck.
