Israel states regaining control over majority of southern settlements

The Israel Defence Forces (IDF) reported to have regained control over the majority of settlements in the country’s south.

Details: The spokesperson stated that on 7 October, the IDF regained control over most of the settlements along the border with the Gaza Strip infiltrated by the Hamas and Islamic Jihad militants.
Among them are the settlements of Sderot, Sofa, Kerem-Shalom, Nirim, Naziv-Hatara, Nir-Oz, the Nakhal-Oz outpost, Hulit, Nir-Am, Nir Yitzhak, Beer-Sheva, Sde-Yemen, Magen and Urim.

At the same time, Yoav Gallant, Minister of Defence of Israel, decided to spread the emergency situation throughout the state, as reported by his office.
Earlier, Gallant announced a “special situation” mode within a 80 km radius from the Gaza Strip.
The “special situation” mode allows the military command to limit gatherings and block off districts.
