Missile attack on Kyiv and oblast: 3 killed, 43 wounded, including child – photo, video

A large-scale missile attack on Kyiv and the oblast has killed three people, leaving one person dead and 43 injured in Kyiv itself, 37 of whom have been hospitalised.

Quote from Klitschko: “Rescue workers have freed 17 people trapped in a house in the Solomianskyi district. A total of 117 residents were taken out of the building. So far, 20 people have been injured, and 19 of them have been hospitalised.”

Details: Klitschko said that the building was on fire and there was heavy smoke.

 

Later, he said that one wounded person from the building in Solomianskyi district, an elderly woman, died in an ambulance.

He also stated that 27 people had been taken to hospital.

The Prosecutor General’s Office reported that debris had been found in the Holosiivskyi, Darnytskyi, Desnianskyi, Obolonskyi, Pecherskyi, Podilskyi, Solomianskyi, Sviatoshynskyi and Shevchenkivskyi districts of the capital.

The attack has damaged residential high-rise buildings, warehouses, a supermarket, a market, a car service station, private homes and vehicles. Windows have been smashed in residential buildings and buildings adjacent to the places where the debris fell.

Mykola Kalashnyk, Head of Darnytskyi District Administration, said that private homes and a church building had been damaged in the Bortnychi district. No one was injured.

Bomb disposal experts and investigative teams are working at the scene.

Klitschko said that the number of injured in Kyiv has increased to 33 people, 32 of whom were hospitalised.

Klitschko noted that as a result of the attack, residential buildings in some areas of the city have no electricity or water supply. Utility companies are now working to restore them.

Klitschko also said that in total, the air defence forces had destroyed 61 missiles in Kyiv and the oblast, including about 10 Kinzhal hypersonic missiles. And before that, 13 Shahed attack drones were destroyed at night.

Kyiv Oblast Military Administration stated that, according to the latest information, two people have been killed in the oblast and 11 others have been injured, including a child. They are being provided with the necessary medical care.

It is reported that the Russians bombarded the oblast using UAVs at night. Air defence units were actively responding to the attack. In the morning, the Russians continued their large-scale missile attack.

Five apartment buildings in Vyshneve have been damaged as a result of the falling debris.

Evacuation of people to the nearest heating centres has been organised, and psychologists from the State Emergency Service are going to provide support to people.

A number of private homes and more than 60 cars have been damaged in various districts of Kyiv Oblast. The falling debris caused a fire in an unfinished church and damaged several businesses and warehouses. One of the regional medical institutions has been damaged.

A number of settlements in Brovary, Bucha, Fastiv and Vyshhorod districts also experienced problems with power supply.
