Number of people killed in Russian attack on Kyiv increases

As of 17:00 of 9 July there is information about 33 people killed in the Russian missile attack on the city of Kyiv on 8 July.

Details: As of 15:30 of 9 July it was known that 32 people were killed, 120 more were injured, and 11 were rescued.
Earlier rescue workers retrieved the bodies of three more women from under the debris of a residential building in the Shevchenkivskyi district of Kyiv. At 13:00 the State Emergency Service of Ukraine reported that the body of one more person was retrieved, meaning the death toll at that location had risen to 12. In total, 32 people have been killed in the city of Kyiv.
Background:
- On 8 July the Russians launched a missile attack on Ukraine. They struck the Okhmatdyt children’s hospital, the ADONIS private clinic and residential buildings in the city of Kyiv.
- Two adults, including a doctor, were killed in the strike on Okhmatdyt.
- An entire section was destroyed in one of the residential buildings in the Shevchenkivskyi district – seven people were killed, including three children. Two people were killed at an industrial facility in the Shevchenkivskyi district.
- The Domino business-centre was damaged in the Solomianskyi district of Kyiv – seven people were killed.
- A four-storey building of the ADONIS clinic was partially destroyed in the Dniprovskyi district, nine people were killed.
- Thirty-seven people were killed and 170 were injured in the Russian attack on Ukraine on 8 July.
