On ruins of Avdiivka: National Police post photos of dogs living under Russian attacks
Pravda Ukraine
In Ukraine not only people but also animals are suffering due to the war. It is especially difficult for them to survive near the frontline.
The National Guard of Ukraine has posted photos of the dogs living on the ruins of Avdiivka.
The Russian offensive on the city of Avdiivka intensified in October. They are launching non-stop attacks on the city.
There are many destroyed houses in Avdiivka. The photo shows one of them. It is a five-storey building struck by a Russian projectile. A dog that managed to survive the attack is standing on the ruins.
Earlier it lived in the basement of this apartment building together with people. Yet they have left, and the dog was left alone, the police say.
People come to feed him – it is them who he is waiting for.
The second photo captured a moment of farewell. The dog standing at the entrance of the apartment block is watching its residents evacuate while it will remain in the city under constant Russian attacks.
The third dog was more lucky – he is going to a safer place together with his owner.
The police revealed that the dog saved the man’s life. A moment before the strike it “sensed the danger and led the owner to the basement”.
“My little lucky charm,” this is how the man calls his canine friend, pressing it to the chest.
