According to the results of the parliamentary elections in Poland, exit polls predict high results of three opposition parties of the current government, with the prospect of forming a majority.

Details: According to these data, the current ruling party, Law and Justice (PiS), became the formal winner of the elections – the poll predicted it first place with an indicator of 36.8%. However, this is not enough to form a majority.

Instead, the main potential partner of PiS, the Confederation political force, known for its anti-Ukrainian stance, has significantly lost the support of voters in recent weeks – the exit poll predicts it getting 6.2% of the vote and fifth place.

This means that, in case the data is confirmed during the counting of votes, the opposition wins a confident majority.

According to the exit poll, the second place will be taken by the Civic Coalition, a bloc of centre-right parties around Donald Tusk’s Civic Platform. The poll anticipates it getting 31.6%, significantly more than the polls before the election predicted.

The Third Way alliance is in third place, with a potential to get 13.0%. On the fourth is the Left left-wing alliance with 8.6%.

During their campaign, the three parties considered each other as allies to form a coalition that could challenge the power of PiS in Poland. According to the current poll results, they will get about 250 seats in the Sejm (231 votes are enough for a majority).
