Over 100 combat clashes occur on front line over past day, with two fronts being most intense – Ukraine’s General Staff

The General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine has described the situation on the Kupiansk and Pokrovsk fronts as the most complicated, with a total of 102 combat clashes taking place at the front line over the past day.

Over the past day, the Russians launched four missile attacks using four missiles and 43 airstrikes with 69 aerial bombs and used 364 kamikaze drones. They fired at Ukrainian positions and populated areas using various types of weapons 2,683 times.
The General Staff noted that the situation on the Kupiansk and Pokrovsk fronts has remained the most complicated.
Over the past day, the Air Force and Rocket Forces and Artillery struck 14 areas where Russian manpower was concentrated.
On the Kharkiv front, there were seven combat clashes with Russian forces. Ukrainian defenders repelled four attacks near the village of Lyptsi and the town of Vovchansk. Fighting is ongoing near Vovchansk, and the Russian attack near the village of Starytsia continues as well.
“The situation is under control,” the General Staff said.
Russian forces lost 79 soldiers on this particular front over the last day. Ukrainian soldiers destroyed an artillery system, 12 UAVs, 10 vehicles and a unit of special equipment. In addition, three ammunition storage points and eight clusters of Russian manpower were hit on 29 May.
On the Kupiansk front, the Russians attempted to force Ukrainian units from their positions 13 times. The fighting took place in the areas of Synkivka, Petropavlivka, Novoiehorivka, Druzheliubivka, Stepova Novoselivka, Andriivka and Nevske.
The Ukrainian Defence Forces did not lose any positions. Fighting continues in four areas near Petropavlivka, Stepova Novoselivka, Druzheliubivka and Nevske.
On the Lyman front, Ukrainian defenders repelled five Russian attempts to advance in the areas of Terny, Torske and Serebrianka Forest. Fighting continues in the area of Terny.
“The enemy did not succeed. The situation is under control,” the General Staff added.
On the Pokrovsk front, Russian troops continued their attempts to break into Ukrainian defences from the area of Ocheretyne over the last day; nine attacks were repelled and another is ongoing. Fighting is also taking place near Sokil, Nevelske and Novoselivka Persha. A total of 23 combat clashes took place on this front.
The situation on the rest of the fronts has not changed significantly.
