Over 11,000 people remain in Pokrovsk, frontline city in Donetsk Oblast

As of 6 November, 11,500 people, including 51 children, remain in Pokrovsk, Donetsk Oblast.

Quote: “Currently, 18,000 people remain in Pokrovsk hromada, including 99 children. [A hromada is an administrative unit designating a village, several villages, or a town, and their adjacent territories – ed.] In the city of Pokrovsk itself, there are 11,500 people and 51 children. The city is open for entry and exit, and evacuation is ongoing. The city’s closure was discussed – it applies to the direction from Selydove – those areas and roads designated by the military.”
Details: Filashkin reported that some shops and branches of Ukrposhta, the Ukrainian national post, are currently operational in the city.
At the same time, there are problems with supply of water, gas and electricity as Russian forces strike Pokrovsk daily with ballistic missiles and FPV drones. Local authorities are urging residents to evacuate to safer locations.
