Over 2,600 companies have been opened by foreigners in Ukraine since Russia’s full-scale invasion

More than 2,600 companies have been founded in Ukraine by foreigners since the beginning of the full-scale invasion. The businesses are most often created by citizens of Türkiye, Uzbekistan, Poland and America.

It is noted that foreigners have opened 2,652 companies in Ukraine since the beginning of the full-scale invasion. In general, citizens from 100 countries have invested money in the country during the war.

“Turkish citizens have opened most companies in Ukraine among all foreign businesses. Residents of the Republic are listed as owners in 354 Ukrainian companies. This is 13% of the total number of new businesses with foreign beneficial owners,” the report says. 

Uzbek citizens also own 274 new Ukrainian companies (10%) and occupy the second position in the rating. Polish citizens are in third place – 193 businesses, or 7% of the total number of companies with foreign owners.

The top list also includes citizens of the United States, Kazakhstan, Germany, Azerbaijan and Israel. It is important to note that there may be more than 1 owner per company.

The largest business opened by foreign companies during the war is “ТЕНС1МА” LLC, which had an authorised capital of UAH 1.28 billion (about. US$32.01 million). The business owner is an Armenian citizen.

In second place is closed non-diversified venture corporate investment fund Yuhen JSC. The authorised capital of this company is UAH 700 million (about US$17.5 million), and the ultimate owner is a US citizen.

The third biggest company is LFS LLC, owned by a Polish citizen. It has an authorised capital of UAH 300 million (about US$7.5 million).
