Train passengers who came under Russian fire at Kherson railway station have reached Mykolaiv safely by bus.

Quote: “The Kherson train passengers got to Mykolaiv safely by bus. The train will leave for Kyiv in accordance with the dispatch timetable.

Tomorrow, trains to Kherson from Kramatorsk, Lviv and Kyiv will be routed to Mykolaiv.”

Details: Ukrzaliznytsia is currently assessing the damage caused to the station and train carriages.

Background:

The Russian army struck Kherson railway station on the evening of 26 December, killing a police officer. Two of his colleagues and two civilians were injured.
