Poles block lorries traffic through Dorohusk-Yahodyn checkpoint again

Polish hauliers have again blocked the movement of lorries through the Dorohusk-Yahodyn checkpoint.

Quote: “From the border guards of Poland through the contact point of the State Border Guard Service of Ukraine, we received information that representatives of Polish hauliers started an action to block traffic for cargo transport means at 15.05 Kyiv time in the direction leading to the checkpoint for the Dorohusk road connection, which is opposite Ukraine’s Yahodyn”.
Details: Demchenko says that the participants of this blockade are several kilometres away from the Polish checkpoint, restricting the movement of trucks in both directions – both towards Ukraine and those coming from Ukraine.
Polish border guards say that the organisers of the protest plan to let through only one lorry per hour. At the same time, they inform that vehicles with humanitarian cargoes and those transporting animals, perishable products, other important cargoes, etc. will be allowed through.
In addition, according to available information, the protesters do not plan to obstruct the movement of buses.
Demchenko noted that during the week, after the unblocking of this direction, an increase in the number of lorries crossing the Ukrainian-Polish border was observed.
Over the past day, 1,100 cargo vehicles were registered at this checkpoint. In the morning, 2,300 trucks were waiting to cross the border towards Ukraine.
