Police look for woman who desecrated graves of defenders on Askold’s Grave, Kyiv

Kyiv law enforcement officers found out that at Askold’s Grave on 20 June, the graves of fallen soldiers Dmytro Kotsiubailo, known as Da Vinci, Pavlo Petrychenko, known as Investor, and Andrii Pilshchykov, known as Juice, were desecrated by a woman whose identity is being established. A case has been opened, and the vandal faces imprisonment.

Quote: “Information about the incident was received by the Kyiv Police today from a security guard at Askold’s Grave Park. The security guard said that an unknown woman damaged portraits of fallen servicemen, broke lamps on graves and snatched flowers.”
Details: Law enforcement officers released a frame of security footage, where an unknown person is defacing the graves of fallen defenders.
Now, operational, investigative and search actions are being carried out to establish the woman’s identity. Grave desecration is punishable by up to 5 years of imprisonment.
The pre-trial investigation is being conducted by investigators of the Pecherskyi Police Department of Kyiv.
