Prigozhin Makes First Statement Since Halting Mutiny

In a message posted to the Telegram messaging app, Wagner leader Yevgeny Prigozhin said two factors influenced the decision to turn back on the way north from the southern city of Rostov that his troops had seized: He didn’t want to spill Russian blood, and he said his march was a protest not an attempt to oust the government.
