Quote from 95th Airborne Assault Brigade soldiers Did (“Grandpa”) and Serhii: “He [the captured North Korean soldier – ed.] ran headfirst into a pole at full tilt… They’re not inclined to surrender. They retreat as far as they can and try to hold out. Our comrades told us stories of North Korean soldiers who blew themselves up when they could no longer retreat.”
Details: Ukrainian soldiers reported that during one battle in Kursk Oblast, North Korean soldiers launched an assault near the defensive positions of the 95th Airborne Assault Brigade. “The Armed Forces of Ukraine killed all the attackers except one. He was captured, but during an attempt to place him in a vehicle, he deliberately hit his head against a concrete pole and lost consciousness.
Quote: “Unlike Russian troops, who might leave their own behind without support, North Korean soldiers make every effort to retrieve their comrades. They fight fiercely and quickly, and are mostly athletic young men,” said the paratroopers.
