Rescue workers completed search and rescue operations at the site of a Russian attack on a residential building in Kyiv’s Shevchenkivskyi district on the evening of 9 July.

Quote: “Rescue workers have removed the body of a girl born in 2006. Emergency restoration works are underway.
33 people were killed, including 4 children, 121 were injured, including 10 children, as a result of yesterday’s hostile attack on Kyiv. 11 people were rescued.”



Background:
- The Russians launched missiles and guided aerial bombs at Ukraine on the morning of 8 July. An air raid warning was issued throughout the country. Explosions were heard in the capital and a number of other cities.
- Debris fell in Solomianskyi, Dniprovskyi, Darnytskyi, Desnianskyi, Shevchenkivskyi and Holosiivskyi districts of Kyiv as a result of a missile strike.
