Rolling blackouts issued in several oblasts of Ukraine

On Saturday evening, rolling blackouts were issued in Ukraine’s Dnipropetrovsk, Sumy and Poltava oblasts. Stabilisation blackouts were introduced in Donetsk Oblast.

Details: DTEK reports that due to the aftermath of the attack, rolling blackouts are being issued by Ukrenergo (Ukraine’s national power distribution regulator) in Dnipro Oblast.
At the same time, stabilisation blackouts are being introduced in Donetsk Oblast.
The Sumy Oblast State Administration reported that due to the Russian military’s attack on Ukraine’s energy sector, rolling blackouts schedules were issued in Sumy Oblast on the instructions of Ukrenergo.
Filip Pronin, the head of the Poltava Oblast Military Administration, said that rolling blackouts schedules were issued again due to a shortage of generation capacity.
Background: On Saturday afternoon, the Energy Ministry reported that rolling blackouts had been cancelled in Dnipro, Donetsk, Zaporizhzhia, Kirovohrad, Poltava and Sumy oblasts, with restrictions remaining in Kharkiv Oblast.
