Details: According to him, there is a large number of weapons of the Russian army on the territory of Ukraine, while “new weapons will be recommissioned and delivered to the front.”

Yusov noted that mobilisation continues in Russia, and it continued throughout the summer.

“Repetition of the scenario of February 2022 is out of the question. But in some areas – yes, the enemy will continue to try to conduct separate offensive operations,” the representative of the Ukrainian Defence Intelligence concluded.

Background:

  • On 21 September, the UK Ministry of Defence noted that after a year of mobilisation, the Russian army is having difficulties due to the lack of rotation.
  • On 3 October, Russian Defence Minister Sergei Shoigu said that Russia had no need for additional mobilisation, as the army supposedly has the necessary number of soldiers to wage war against Ukraine.
  • UK intelligence stated that Russia would avoid announcing mobilisation until after the presidential election.
  • In early October, Major General Vadym Skibitskyi, representative of the Defence Intelligence of Ukraine, said that Russia has prepared everything to announce open mobilisation, but it will not happen in the near future.
