Russia Is Denied a Seat on the U.N. Human Rights Council

Russia lost a vote in the General Assembly to Albania and Bulgaria, failing in its bid to be restored to the council. It was suspended following its invasion of Ukraine last year, in a diplomatic blow to Moscow.
