Former UFC champion Khabib Nurmagomedov has once again found himself in the spotlight, but this time not for a bout in the ring, but due to a verbal fight on an airplane. The Russian athlete was removed from a flight from Las Vegas to Los Angeles after a conflict with a flight attendant.

Details: A video widely shared on social media shows a flight attendant arguing with Nurmagomedov. The conflict arose because the 36-year-old Russian was seated in a row near the emergency exit. According to safety regulations, passengers in these seats must be ready to assist in case of an emergency. The flight attendant asked Nurmagomedov if he was prepared to do so.
It seems that Nurmagomedov did not understand the request, leading to a misunderstanding. The athlete refused to move to another seat, calling the demand unfair.
Quote from Nurmagomedov: “When I was checking in, they asked me if I spoke English. I said I did. So why am I being treated this way?”
More details: The flight attendant decided not to continue the argument and called the crew manager, who asked Nurmagomedov to leave the plane.
Eyewitnesses reported that the athlete appeared irritated and did not understand the reason for the decision. The incident has sparked heated discussions on social media: some defended Nurmagomedov, accusing the airline of discrimination, while others supported the crew’s actions, emphasising the importance of adhering to safety rules.
