Russian PSYOP and offended bloggers – high-profile volunteer on hate campaign against her after tragedy in Chernihiv

Pravda Ukraine

Mariia Berlinska, Director of the Aerial Reconnaissance Support Centre, has explained the hate she faced after the tragedy in Chernihiv as the work of offended bloggers and the Russian PSYOP.

Source: Mariia Berlinska, veteran of the Russian-Ukrainian war, Head of the Victory Drones volunteer project at the Dignitas charity foundation and Director of the Aerial Reconnaissance Support Centre, in an interview with Ukrainska Pravda (which will be translated shortly)

Quote: “Firstly, the Russians with their PSYOP were involved as much as possible to split society (the Security Service of Ukraine immediately told us about this).

Secondly, several well-known Ukrainian bloggers spoke about it. In particular, Oleksii Arestovych and Yevhen Karas. I have long-standing, personal, so to speak, scores to settle with both of them.

People with critical thinking supported me as much as possible, for which I am, of course, very grateful. I didn’t expect such a wave of support on social media from journalists, volunteers and people I don’t know at all.”

Details: Berlinska said that after the events in Chernihiv, she had two options: the first was to come out and name the real organisers of the event, which would “please the enemy”. The second was to give testimony to the Security Service of Ukraine. She chose the latter.

Background: On 19 August, the Russians launched a missile attack on the Chernihiv Music and Drama Theatre when a gathering of drone manufacturers and aerial reconnaissance training schools was held there as part of the Liuti Ptashky (Furious Birds) demo day, although only the event’s participants knew the exact location.
