Analysts from the DeepState project reported on the night of 10-11 January that Russian forces had occupied Kurakhove in Donetsk Oblast.

Details: In addition, based on the data provided by DeepState, Russian forces have advanced near Andriivka, Solone and Novosilka in Donetsk Oblast.
Background: Russia’s Ministry of Defence announced on the morning of 6 January that the town of Kurakhove in Donetsk Oblast had been captured, but Ukrainian defenders have reported that Russian assaults continue in the city’s urban areas.
The DeepState analytical project reported on the night of 9-10 January the advance of Russian forces in Donetsk and Kursk oblasts, resulting in the occupation of several settlements.
More Details: Kurakhove is located in the western part of Donetsk Oblast, on the left bank of the Kurakhove Reservoir dam (Vovcha River, a tributary of the Samara River in the Dnipro River basin). The railway station Roia is located in the city. A H15 motorway (Zaporizhzhia—Donetsk) runs through the town.
