The Russians have launched a Shahed drone strike on the Sumy hromada on the evening of 12 January, causing fires in a residential area and a children’s wellness centre. [A hromada is an administrative unit designating a village, several villages, or a town, and their adjacent territories – ed.]

“Everyone is safe and unharmed,” acting Sumy Mayor Artem Kobzar stated.

Background:
- On 12 January, Russian forces used a drone to attack a passenger bus traveling through the Myropillia hromada in the Sumy district. A 42-year-old and 30-year-old women were injured as a result of the attack.
