Several cities, counties eye TSMC plant after chipmaker quits Longtan
Taipei, Oct. 18 (CNA) Several cities and counties around Taiwan invited Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing Co. (TSMC) to build an advanced wafer fab Wednesday after the world’s largest contract chipmaker announced a day earlier that it has abandoned its plan to construct one in the Longtan section of Hsinchu Science Park in northern Taiwan.
