The seventh edition of Shi Fu Miz will land on November 8 to 10, kicking off events on Hong Kong island on Friday night before moving to the familiar surrounds of Sai Yuen Farm on the Cheung Chau shoreline for Saturday and Sunday.

Born from a desire to provide a platform for world-class, local and regional electronic acts, Shi Fu Miz 2024 assembles boundary-pushing DJs, live acts, and cultural and wellness activities for an intimate audience of 5,000.

The Line Up

On the agenda for Shi Fu Miz is Australia-born, UK-based DJ Boring, whose house tracks pay homage to the very roots of dance music; vinyl DJ Marie Montexier whose blend of breaks, bass, techno and acid house has made her a fixture on the Berlin scene; and silky-smooth Detroit house legend Marcellus Pittman.

Representing the region will be Afrodite, co-founder of South Korea’s underground festival The Air House, Tokyo-based DJ duo Palm Babys, and Shy Beef & Nebulae from north of the border mainstay Oil, in Shenzhen.

The Pillars

More than just a music festival, Shi Fu Miz has been developed around several key pillars to offer something for everyone: young and old, friends, couples and even families…

Food – click to view

As well as a Feast Court with four stalls offering a range of culinary choices from across the world, Shi Fu Miz has partnered with Melody House of Food and Music to offer festival goers a new experience: a very special dinner on Saturday and brunch on Sunday, each limited to 30 guests.

Scenography and production design firm Studio Raito from Amsterdam in the Netherlands, Vietnam-based bamboo installation artist Holland Create, and Hong Kong’s own P.Y.O Studio will be responsible for stage and lighting designs across the festival grounds and stages.

Activities – click to view

As well as a strong musical line-up, Shi Fu Miz invites attendees to take part in a raft of activities, including yoga, meditation, breath work, sound healing, interactive workshops, and talks on sustainability, inclusion and social responsibility.

Marketplace – click to view

The Shi Fu Miz Marketplace assembles ethical designers, upcyclers, and artisanal and creative brands to provide festival goers a truly unique shopping experience.

Family – click to view

The festival is free for children under the age of 12, with various activities and performances aimed at younger attendees to be announced soon.

Lifestyle – click to view

Shi Fu Miz presents a weekend escape with a natural vibe music running the gamut through jazzy, disco and funk to house, techno and breakbeat. The farmland it sits on is great for exploring and is also a luxury glamping area with tepees, safari tents and geodesic domes.

Sustainability – click to view

Alongside the usual operations like eco-talks and eco-workshops, Shi Fu Miz will be setting new goals on its journey to becoming zero-waste. The event will once again forbid the use of plastic bottles or single-use plastics on site, and festival goers are instead encouraged to bring their own reusable bottle and take advantage of the free water dispensers scattered across the site. Other initiatives include replacing the plastic bags usually found in rubbish bins with biodegradable bags.
