Taiwan shares plunge as tech sector under heavy pressure
Taipei, Oct. 18 (CNA) Shares in Taiwan took a beating, falling 200 points Wednesday as the bellwether electronics sector led the losses in the wake of a plan by the Biden administration to cut off shipments of chips designed by Nvidia Corp. and other American semiconductor designers to China, dealers said.
