The Russian messaging app Telegram will provide the IP addresses and phone numbers of those involved in illegal activities to the relevant authorities.

Details: Pavel Durov says Telegram’s search function is being abused by people selling illegal goods and violating the platform’s terms and conditions.
To deter criminals from misusing Telegram search, the messaging app’s moderation team has updated its terms of use and privacy policy to ensure consistency worldwide.
Quote from Durov: “We have made it clear that the IP addresses and phone numbers of those who violate our rules may be disclosed to the relevant authorities in response to legitimate requests.”
Durov says these measures should deter criminals.
