Quote: “I can clearly say that under this president (Zelenskyy – ed.), there will be no Mіnsk 3.”
Details: Yermak stated that possible negotiations with Russia are not being discussed in any format. “Our position is unchanged: no conditions concerning our territories, our independence, and our sovereignty are acceptable,” he said.
According to Yermak, Ukraine’s partners are not putting pressure on Ukraine regarding negotiations with Russia. “Our partners always say: when, how, and what to talk about is the prerogative of Ukraine, the Ukrainian people, and the Ukrainian leadership,” Yermak said.
At the same time, he is convinced that the Russians themselves systematically raise the topic of negotiations. However, he expressed regret that this topic is also discussed by foreign and Ukrainian media.
Background:
- Valerii Zaluzhnyi, Commander-in-Chief of Ukraine’s Armed Forces, believes that the situation at the front has reached a stalemate, given that neither side can advance because they are technologically equipped at the same level. The general says the situation reminds him of the First World War.
- However, President Volodymyr Zelenskyy does not think the situation on the front in Ukraine is at a stalemate and has said that Ukraine will not negotiate with Russia.
- Earlier, NBC News reported that officials from the US and the EU had begun discussing with Ukraine the possibility of peace talks with Russia.
