Thyssenkrupp to win EU nod for $2.3 bln German steel subsidies

Reuters exclusively reported that the European Commission would approve 2 billion euros in state aid for Thyssenkrupp’s plan to build a green steel plant at its headquarters in Duesseldorf. Sources told Reuters two days in advance that a decision in favor of the grant could come as soon as July 20, the day the Commission happened to unveil its decision.
