Ukraine and Albania sign 10-year cooperation agreement – video

President Volodymyr Zelenskyy and Albanian Prime Minister Edi Rama have signed a 10-year agreement on cooperation and support.

Details: The cooperation and support agreement between Ukraine and Albania is designed for a decade and consists of five sections: security and defence, political cooperation, humanitarian aid, cooperation in the event of future Russian aggression and final provisions.
The full text of the agreement has been published on the President’s Office website.
Quote: “Albania has been providing military and humanitarian assistance to Ukraine since the beginning of the full-scale invasion and it will continue its support throughout the ten-year term of the agreement. Albania will also contribute to the fighter jet coalition.”
More details: The Ukrainian president expressed gratitude to Albania for supporting Kyiv’s path towards European integration, strengthening its battlefield capabilities and “bringing Ukraine closer to a just and lasting peace”.

Background:
- This is not the first bilateral agreement between Kyiv and Tirana. In February 2024, the leaders of both nations signed a Friendship and Cooperation Agreement.
- Additionally, in January 2025, Albania opened its embassy in Kyiv.
