Ukraine imposes electricity supply restrictions following Russian large-scale attack

Ukraine’s Energy Minister Herman Halushchenko has reported that the country’s transmission system operator has introduced preventive electricity supply restrictions due to a Russian missile attack.

Details: Halushchenko urged citizens to stay in shelters and follow official updates.
Ukrenergo specified that emergency power outages had been implemented in Kharkiv, Sumy, Poltava, Zaporizhzhia, Dnipropetrovsk and Kirovohrad oblasts due to the large-scale missile attack.
Background: On the morning of 15 January, the Russians launched a large-scale missile attack on Ukraine, mostly targeting the west of the country.
