Ukraine plans to expand Grain from Ukraine programme

Minister of Foreign Affairs Andrii Sybiha and Minister of Agrarian Policy Vitalii Koval agreed to coordinate efforts to scale up the Grain from Ukraine programme into Food from Ukraine.

Details: The ministers agreed on a common policy for the next food supplies around the world.
Quote from Sybiha: “On behalf of the President of Ukraine, we are expanding the Grain from Ukraine initiative into Food from Ukraine, expanding the range of Ukrainian products and the geography of supplies together with our partners.”
Details: Ukraine recently shipped sunflower oil to Mozambique as part of the Grain from Ukraine initiative. Approximately 416 tonnes will arrive in early February.
Another 73.4 tonnes of oil and 970.5 tonnes of wheat will be sent to Djibouti at the end of January, while Tanzania will shortly receive 453 tonnes of sunflower oil.
For reference: Grain from Ukraine is a programme backed by Ukraine’s international partners that purchases products from Ukrainian producers in order to overcome world hunger.
