Ukraine’s Cabinet of Ministers establishes US$1,800 bonus for soldiers for every 30 days in combat zone

The Cabinet of Ministers has approved a resolution authorising the payment of a one-off remuneration of UAH 70,000 (US$1,794) to personnel fighting on the front lines, enemy territory, and temporarily occupied territory for a total of 30 days.

Details: The Cabinet of Ministers amended a resolution entitled The issue of certain payments to military personnel, officers and other ranks, police officers, and their families during martial law.
Background: The Verkhovna Rada (the Ukrainian Parliament) voted on 11 April for a resolution obliging the government to develop a mechanism for an additional one-off payment of UAH 70,000 (US$1,794) to soldiers performing combat tasks at the front, for every 30 days at the line of contact or in Russian territory or temporarily occupied territory of Ukraine.
