Defence Intelligence of Ukraine (DIU) has reported the liberation and mop-up operation at the Vovchansk Aggregate Plant in Kharkiv Oblast.

Quote: “As a result of an extremely challenging and successful operation the DIU units have completely liberated the territory of the Vovchansk Aggregate Plant and took out the occupiers in all the buildings of the facility.
On Tuesday, 24 September, at 14:40 Tymur, commander of the special unit of DIU, reported to Kyrylo Budanov, Chief of DIU, that the operation had been finished successfully.”
Details: Reportedly, the operation was carried out by special groups of DIU: Stuhna, Parahon, Yunher, BDK, Teror.
Members of DIU conducted a systematic mop-up operation of the buildings of the plant, constantly engaging in contact fights with the Russians in the conditions of a dense urban development. In separate cases the members of the special units engaged in hand-to-hand combat with the Russians.
The Russians turned the Aggregate Plant into their propagandistic “fortress”, using the most motivated and skilled units in its defence, including even the soldiers of the 45th Brigade of the Air Assault Forces (Kubinka, Moscow).
In addition to this, members of the Ukrainian intelligence service were constantly attacked by artillery, kamikaze attack drones, guided aerial bombs and Solntsepyok heavy flamethrower systems.
Despite a strong resistance of the Russians, Ukrainian soldiers managed to kill many of them, capture some prisoners of war and replenish the exchange pool.
Reportedly, the territory of the aggregate plant was taken under the control of the Armed Forces of Ukraine after all 30 buildings of the facility were mopped-up.
