Ukraine’s defence minister introduces G7 ambassadors to his team

Ukrainian Defence Minister Rustem Umierov met with the G7 ambassadors to Ukraine and introduced them to the new team of his ministry on Monday.

Quote: “I met with the G7 ambassadors to Ukraine. I introduced the team, our approaches to work and the priority goals of the ministry.
The key priorities for the ministry now are to provide for our soldiers, develop technologies that can secure victory, ensure transparency in the work of agencies responsible for lethal and non-lethal procurement, and enforce zero tolerance for corruption.”
Background:
- On 27 September, the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine appointed three new deputy defence ministers: Yurii Dzhyhyra, Nataliia Kalmykova and Kateryna Chernohorenko.
- On 5 October, the Cabinet of Ministers appointed three new deputy defence ministers: Ivan Havryliuk, Stanislav Haider and Dmytro Klimenkov.
