Ukrainian and Russian forces clash nearly 200 times in 24 hours, with half on Pokrovsk front alone

Ukrainian and Russian forces clashed 199 times throughout the war zone on 18 January, with 98 engagements registered on the Pokrovsk front alone.

Details: In particular, on the Kharkiv front, Russian troops carried out six assaults on the positions of Ukrainian forces near the settlement of Vovchansk.
On the Kupiansk front, Ukrainian defenders repelled Russian assaults near the settlements of Petropavlivka, Lozova and Pishchane, where nine attacks have taken place over the past 24 hours.
On the Lyman front, Russian forces have mounted 11 attacks over the past 24 hours. They attempted to penetrate Ukrainian defences near the settlements of Zelenyi Hai, Pershotravneve, Kopanky, Novoiehorivka, Novosadove, Novoliubivka and Zarichne.
On the Siversk front, the Russians launched one attack near the settlement of Bilohorivka but to no avail.
On the Kramatorsk front, the Russians carried out 11 attacks near the settlements of Stupochky, Predtechyne and Chasiv Yar.
On the Toretsk front, the Russians conducted 20 attacks near the settlements of Toretsk, Krymske and Shcherbynivka.
On the Pokrovsk front, Ukrainian defenders repelled 98 Russian offensive efforts to advance towards the settlements of Vodiane Druhe, Zelene Pole, Malynivka, Pokrovsk, Kotlyne, Zvirove, Udachne, Novoandriivka, Yelyzavetivka, Promin, Lysivka, Zelene, Shevchenko, Uspenivka, Slovianka, Andriivka, Dachne, Ulakly and Yantarne.
On the Novopavlivka front, Ukrainian defence forces repelled 19 Russian attacks. The Russians were most actively trying to advance near the settlement of Velyka Novosilka.
On the Huliaipole front, no combat engagements have occurred over the past 24 hours.
On the Orikhiv front, the Russians mounted one attack on Ukrainian positions near the settlement of Novodanylivka.
On the Prydniprovske front, Ukrainian troops repelled two Russian attacks.
On the Kursk front, 12 combat engagements occurred yesterday. Russian forces conducted 5 airstrikes using 5 guided bombs and launched 464 artillery attacks, including 18 from multiple-launch rocket systems.
On the Volyn and Polissia fronts, there is no evidence of any offensive Russian groups being formed in the area.
