Details: Ruslan Stefanchuk, the spokesperson of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine, reported that he had thanked Poland for the aid it had provided Ukraine with and listed Ukraine’s current priorities in military aid, such as supplementary air defence systems and radio-electronic warfare systems, armoured equipment, drones and anti-drone systems, and long-range missiles.
“We’re grateful to Poland for joining the Czech initiative of funding the procurement of artillery ammunition for Ukraine, as well as for the recent decision of the Polish Parliament concerning the extension of temporary protection for the citizens of Ukraine,” Stefanchuk stated.
Denys Shmyhal, Prime Minister of Ukraine, has revealed that their conversation encompassed a number of sectors: military support, the European and Euroatlantic integration, sanctions against Russia, the confiscation of Russian assets, and the development of border infrastructure.
“The situation with energy was discussed separately. We rely on Poland’s assistance in the supply of the necessary equipment, mainly generators, modular boiler rooms and gas turbines. We intend to decentralise the Ukrainian power system in order to make it less vulnerable to the enemy,” Shmyhal noted.
He added that he had thanked the Polish government for supplying Ukraine with ammunition for air defence systems, without specifying the batch of aid in question.
“We highly value the incredible level of support for our state from the side of Poland and the Polish people,” Shmyhal added.
