Ukrainian parliament appoints new Minister of Agrarian Policy after months of waiting

The Verkhovna Rada (Ukrainian parliament) has appointed Vitalii Koval as a new Minister of Agrarian Policy and Food of Ukraine, who resigned as the head of the State Property Fund the day before.

Quote: “The last appointment is of Vitalii Koval to the post of Minister of Agrarian Policy and Food of Ukraine,” he said.
The decision was supported by 251 MPs.
Prior to that, Taras Vysotskyi was acting Minister of Agrarian Policy, who was appointed after the dismissal of former Minister Mykola Solskyi in May.
Background: On 9 May 2024, the parliament dismissed Mykola Solskyi from his post as the Minister of Agrarian Policy and Food.
