Daiana Yastremska (26), Ukrainian tennis player from the city of Odesa, has defeated her Brazilian opponent Laura Pigossi (110) in the first round of the 2024 Olympics.

The match lasted for exactly two hours and ended with a score 3-6, 7-5, 6-0.
In the first set Daiana faced problems due to a large quantity of involuntary mistakes (39 in total) but in the second game she managed to turn the game and close the third set to zero.
