Ukrainians are more positive about Trump’s presidency – poll

Ukrainians are mostly positive about Donald Trump’s comeback to the US presidential office.

Details: Asked whether Trump’s comeback to the White House is good or bad for Ukraine, a total of 54% of respondents said they viewed it as a positive rather than a negative.

The largest group was the one that perceived Trump’s victory as “rather good than bad” – 37.5%. 11.3% of respondents answered “mostly good”, 5.5% – “very good”.

3.2% believe that Trump’s victory is mostly bad, 2.9% consider it very bad.

23.2% said it was difficult to decide, and 2% refused to answer the question.

Optimism about Trump’s victory is most apparent among respondents under 29 years old, where the total number of answers from “mostly good” to “very good” is 64%.

Regarding the regions of the country, the highest level of optimism about Trump’s presidency is in western Ukraine (54.6% answers range from “mostly good” to “very good”).

At the same time, respondents in eastern Ukraine are the least optimistic. Only 35.6% believe that Trump’s victory is good for Ukraine, and 42.8% of the region’s residents found it difficult to answer what Trump’s presidency would mean for the country.
