Ukrainians start losing confidence in recovery of economy

People’s expectations for increased economic prosperity in the short and medium term have decreased since early 2023.

Details: According to the survey, in January 2024, the share of those who believe that the situation will improve in the next three months fell to nearly 7%, nearly two times lower than in February-March 2023, when 13% of respondents expressed their confidence in improvement.
At the same time, the percentage of people who believe that things will get worse rose from 23% at the start of 2023 to 33% in January 2024.
A similar situation is observed when respondents are asked about Ukraine’s economic prospects in the medium term. 31% of respondents believe the economy will improve over the next 2-3 years, compared to 51% of respondents in February-March 2023.
At the same time, 22.5% of respondents believe the situation will deteriorate in the medium term.
