Volunteer from Belarus killed in action in Ukraine

Belarusian woman Maria Zaitseva, who was injured during the protests in Minsk in 2020 and then volunteered to fight in the war in Ukraine, was killed in action.

Details: The Belarusian media agencies reported that Zaitseva was injured during the suppression of protests in Minsk on 9 August 2020. After that, she was treated in Czechia.
After the start of Russia’s full-scale invasion of Ukraine in 2022, Zaitseva came to Ukraine to fight and joined the International Legion.
She was killed in the fighting near Bakhmut, Nasha Niva reported.
