Details: “The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine has officially confirmed that brands belonging to Inditex, one of the world’s largest fashion distribution groups – Zara, Pull&Bear, Massimo Dutti, Bershka, Stradivarius, Oysho and Zara Home – are coming back to Ukraine,” the statement said.
On President Zelenskyy’s instructions, the Ukrainian Foreign Ministry has been systematically engaging with all the leading international brands that left the Ukrainian market after Russia launched its full-scale war in 2022 to persuade them to resume their operations in Ukraine. The return of Inditex is the next step after the reopening of McDonald’s, H&M and others.
Background:
- On 1 March, it was reported that Zara is preparing to reopen stores in Ukraine after a two-year break.
- In November 2023, Swedish retailer H&M reopened its stores in two Kyiv shopping centres, Lavina Mall and Respublika Park, for the first time since the start of Russia’s full-scale invasion of Ukraine.
